Prof. Dr. Joachim Veit, born 1956, studied Musicology, English language and literature and Music at Saarbrücken and Detmold/Paderborn. In 1982 he received his state examination in the subjects Music and English at Detmold, in 1984 he continued and finished his following master studies with the master´s degree in the main subject Musicology and in the two subsidiary subjects English and American Philology. In 1988 he received his phil. degree at Detmold/Paderborn with a doctoral thesis about studies of the early works of the German 19th century composer Carl Maria von Weber. Researches and Examinations about the influence of Abbé Vogler and Franz Danzi. After his doctoral degree he was working since 1988 as a research assistant for the DFG-Project "Complete Edition of the letters from Carl Maria von Weber", since 1996 he was working as a research assistant for the project "Complete edition of Carl Maria von Weber´s works", which was supported by the Conference of the Academy of Sciences. In the meantime he has been given to lead the direction of this project. At the end of 2005 the faculty of Cultural Studies and Humanities of Paderborn University awarded him as a professor in the state of honor. Since the beginning of 2006 he coaches the DFG-Project "Development of tools for digital forms of scientific and critical music edition" (a.k.a. "Edirom–Project"). Joachim Veit is member of the research group of free research institutions in the society of music research, and he is also member of the scientific advisory board of the Carl-Maria-von-Weber-Society in Berlin and the Albert-Lortzing-Society in Freiberg. Since 2006 he is member of the executive board of the VG music edition in Kassel and since the beginning of 2007 he is member of the Advisory Committee of the digital edition of W.-A. Mozart´s works in Salzburg.

Johannes Kepper, born 1980, studied Musicology with the subsidiary subjects Media Research and Theory and Informatics at the Musicology Department at Detmold/Paderborn. In 2005 he received his master´s degree with a master thesis about the theme "The hymn of Carl Maria von Weber: 'In seiner Ordnung schafft der Herr'. Aspects of this composition and his edition". Since 2005 he works on his doctoral thesis about aspects of digital music editions. Parallel to Musicology he studied Media Informatics at Paderborn University. Since 2003 Johannes Kepper works for the project Edirom, first as a student assistant, since 2006 in the new DFG-Project "Digital Music Edition" as a research assistant.

Daniel Röwenstrunk, born 1980, studied Business Computing at Paderborn University. In 2006 he received his diploma degree with a diploma thesis about "Local Branching and Branching-Rules for duty roster problems in local traffic in case of irregular timetables". After working as a student assistant for a software firm (2001 - 2004) and as a student assistant at the Musicology Department at Detmold/Paderborn he works since February 2006 as a research assistant for the DFG-Project „Digital Music Edition“ (Edirom).

Peter Stadler, born 1976, studied Musicology and Computational Linguistics at the Universities of Kiel and Heidelberg. In 2007 he received his master´s degree and finished his studies with his master thesis „Studies about Davids Throneascent of J.W.C. von Königslöw“. After working as a student assistant for a software firm and as a student assistant at the Musicology Department at Heidelberg University he is working first since March 2007 as a graduate assistant for the DFG-Project „Digital Music Edition“ (Edirom) at the Musicology Department at Detmold/Paderborn. Since March 2008 he works therefore as a research assistant.

Heiko Fabig, born 1977, studied from 1998 until 2007 at Münster University in the main subject Musicology and in the subsidiary subjects Cultural Studies/European Ethnology and Ethnology. He received his master degree in 2007 with a master thesis about "The Main Informant Person of Johannes Künzig – Biography and Collection in the perspective of folklore studies". Since 2001 he was working as a student assistant at Münster University and at Landscape Organisation Westfalia-Lippe. Since 2007 he works on his doctoral thesis in Musicology at Münster University about the vocal works of the 17th century composer and organist Dieterich Buxtehude. As a graduate assistant he works for the project "Digital Music Edition" (Edirom) at the Musicology Department at Detmold/Paderborn since June 2008.

M. Philemon Jacobsen, born in 1981 in Zuerich, studied from 2002 until 2008 in the main subject Musicology and in the subsidiary subjects mediavistic history and new German literature at the Musicology Department at Detmold/Paderborn University. He received his master degree in 2008 with a master thesis about "Research into "Lagrime di San Pietro" by Orlando di Lasso". From 2003 until 2005 he was working as a student assistant for the library of the Musicology Department at Detmold/Paderborn. From 2005 until 2008 he was working for the DFG-Project "Digital Music Edition" (Edirom) as a student assistant. Since January 2009 he works as a graduate assistant for the Carl Maria von Weber-Edition.
